Jason grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is now based in the Denver/Boulder area of Colorado. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Studies at the University of Pittsburgh where he studied guitar under seminal jazz guitarist Joe Negri and improvisation under the renowned contemporary pianist Geri Allen.

His work has led him to experiment with a wide variety of creative projects, ranging from working in the audio/visual industry to performing in rock bands, operas, jazz combos, pit orchestras, solo guitar, and wedding/corporate events to recording original music for jazz combos, rock groups, and musicals. In 2013 he co-founded the jazz-rock band The Clock Reads who quickly made a name for themselves in the Pittsburgh music scene, playing well-known venues and festivals across the east coast and mid-west. In 2016 Jason also began an exciting collaboration with John Page Classic Guitars and Howard Swimmer. Through their promotional work together, Jason performed with renowned Berklee College of Music educator and guitarist Tomo Fujita and the legendary Sugar Hill Gang. In 2018 Jason performed with the Pittsburgh Opera in a production of 'The Long Walk' composed by Jeremy Howard Beck. Since then, he has worked to expand his talents by spearheading collaboration among a diverse range of musicians in the Denver area. You will find him regular performing with his jazz trio, solo, wedding, corporate events, and with his two original projects, Superimposition and Sixth Wind.

He is admired for his ability to work and collaborate in a diverse array of genres and respected for his desire to continuously improve his arrangement, composition, and improvisation skills. He has deep reverence for musical masters, and his passionate approach to music is reflected in his playing and his goal to become more proficient in all styles of music. As such, he values every opportunity to perform and collaborate with other professional musicians and artists

After teaching hundreds of students of all ages (ranging from 6 to 80 years old) for nearly a decade, he has developed an understanding that the best way to achieve real progress is to cater each student’s lessons to their interests and motivations. He believes the key to becoming a motivated musician is to find the type of music that resonates with you. Therefore, he is always excited to introduce his students to new music and styles, with the hope of inspiring their desire to learn. Regardless of whether you’re interested in classic rock, jazz, folk, funk, pop, blues, or classical guitar, Jason will guide you through proper techniques, theory, and important artists to help you cultivate a true appreciation and understanding of the music.

Jason is a gifted performer and teacher who ultimately hopes to inspire others to find or deepen their own reverence for music.
